After mixing for many year's,its a natural progression as my dad was a DJ aswell. I only started doing radio set's in the last couple of year's.I was asked so many times to go on the radio but was a bit nervous and that's where the name comes from, but after my first taste I knew that this was for me. My name is DJ Ikal, I'm 25 years old. I've been a DJ for about 10 years now and I'm still rubbish, haha. I started to DJ on a local pirate station, mixing old skool garage.

oldskool hardcore,jungle,drum and bass,house,garage,4x4,grime dubstep... i pretty much love all genres as my love for music is vast i have also started producing in all genres and think that people should open there minds up to all music and not just listen to one style!!!

i first got into dj'ing after i first heard mickey finn on an oldskool tape i had constantly playing in my stereo, and after endless searches for the tunes i wanted i soon realised that these tunes that i was after so badly was not available on any other format apart from vinyl i then decided to get myself some decks and a mixer and it then became part of who i was ever since,ive allways kept close to the underground scene and have allways gone to underground clubs and raves and finally after all these years i recently interviewed the man that started it all off for me the legendary mickey finn who has remained at the forefront of underground music scene for over 21 years...so this to me is what djing is all about its about bringing the music to the people and carring the music and the passion on to the next generation and itroducing them into the wonderfull world of music!!
